It is the perfect base to explore Cape Town and its surroundings (Cape point, kirstenbosch, chapman’s peak, Table mountain,Bo-Kaap, the waterfront…) and a cozy place to come home to. The place has a story to tell with all kind of quirky details and original furniture. It has all the appliances that you might need (like a washing machine (very handy after two weeks of traveling). The host was very responsive and offered us extra heating without us having to ask for it. Small extra detail: the neighbours were also very friendly. 😊

The location is right in the beating heart of Cape Town city but the cottage was very quiet and felt tucked away. The kitchen is suitable for take-aways and convenience food but the lack of dishwasher, terrible pots and pans, and low number of utensils do not make this kitchen suitable for young families and cooking meals. It is, however, located very close to all the incredible restaurants that Cape Town city boasts with a number of delivery options available. We would stay here again.

I knew that central heating is not common in SA. Also pity that it takes a long time to get hot water as you waste it waiting for it. This is common in Cpt as well.
Albertus answered to all questions rapidly and we felt we were taken care of. 4/5 only because of the coldness.

Secondly, the carpark spot is quite tight, although on their description already. Might want to get a smaller car.
